Jaaziah Bethea is entering his Junior year at George Mason University. A two year starter, Jay is looking for an NCAA berth out of the perennially strong CAA wrestling league. We wish him well and know that this year he will win a trip to the show out in St Louis for the NCAA Division I Championships.

Canaan Bethea now ranked 6th in the Eastern Intercollegiate Wrestling Association (the oldest wrestling league in the country) and starter at the University of Pennsylvania. http://www.pennathletics.com/ViewArticle.dbml?SPSID=8720&SPID=543&DB_LANG=C&DB_OEM_ID=1700&ATCLID=205029536&Q_SEASON=2011
We are absolutely thrilled to know that Canaan will be competing in the EIWAs this year at Princeton University in Jadwin Gym March 3rd and 4th.
Ian Snyder has committed to Duke University, a Division I wrestling team! We are so proud of Ian and look forward to a fantastic senior year. http://www.dukewrestling.com/about/ Ian will be joining Jeff Barsamian and David Klinges in leading the little Tigers into potentially one of their best years ever.
Gordon Wolf is planning a grand return to the mats for his Sophomore year after having an amazing 2010-11 season making the finals of the NJ Regionals. http://lawrenceville.patch.com/articles/wolfs-trip-to-atlantic-city-can-only-help-build-experience
Ray and Maaziah Bethea will obviously be starting at Trenton High and we expect big things from them!
Andrew Monahan is looking at a potential starting position in the Blair lineup at 113. Andrew has already conceded that the hardest of any Blair practice he has attended thus far ranks as one of the easiest of PAWS practices.
Alex and Patrick McLaughlin are heading into the 2011-2012 season with an eye to leading the Lawrenceville team with a whole pack of other PAWS guys including Josh Durso Finley, John Davis. Great news has arrived that Lawrenceville will now be competing in the Mercer County Championship alongside many other PAWS greats in this famed tourney. When asked about a potential matchup with former State champ and PAWS great Maaziah Bethea in the finals at the Mercer County tourney Patrick McLaughlin’s only remark was: “My prediction for that matchup…..PAIN!” Indeed there will be!
Congratulations to all of our alumni greats and please let us know if you have other updates.
